SP Scientific has assembled the leading names in lyophilization to offer a full line of premier freeze-drying systems for the benchtop, process development, pilot, and production scale. SP Industries freeze driers are represented by three industry leading brands:
Hull - pilot plant and production scale lyophilization systems, manufactured to pharmaceutical cGMP standards.
VirTis - a complete range of standard and configured-to-ordered laboratory, research, and production scale freeze drying systems.
FTS - the powerful LyoStar II Process Development Freeze Dryer with breakthrough SMART Freeze-Dryer Technology.
The LyoStar II is a research and development freeze drier, built and proven to replicate production scale freeze drying to enable easy scale up. The LyoStar II comes with a revolutionary new software control package- the exclusive SMART Freeze-Dryer Technology - which enables the average cycle optimisation time per product to be reduced from 62 days to an average of 13 days. Typically, developing of freeze drying processes is a lengthy and time consuming iterative process relying only on trial and error. Recent rational approaches have been developed which have been distilled into the latest SMART freeze drier technology. Researchers report that this approach yields more useful data that helps when scaling up to production and delivers superior product quality.
The Benchmark freeze driers are engineered to process pilot to production scale batches of pharmaceutical and biotech prodcuts. With numerous options available, the Benchmark series freeze driers allow customers to configure the freeze drier to fit their individual application. Built from pharmaceutical grade stainless steel throughout and available with Clean in Place (CiP) and/or Steam in Place (SiP) capability with 21 CFR part 11 and IQ/OQ packages for rapid validation.
The VirTis Genesis, VirTual & Ultra freeze driers are scale up & pilot scale freeze driers. Some pilot scale applications may require the larger Benchmark systems (which for some is production scale). The VirTis pilot scale freeze driers are shelf freeze driers which can accomodate bulk trays or vials and ampoules. The number of shelves and their spacing depends on the desired application. All are designed to meet the needs of pharmaceutical, biotech, and tissue banking industries to develop and process their samples efficiently. Industry standards demand high quality versatile equipment that can process bulk products, vials with unlimited shapes and sizes and large numbers of microtiter plates - this can all be done in the VirTis pilot freeze driers!
As user-friendly as it is sophisticated, the VirTis AdVantage freeze-dryer has packed valuable features in this small freeze drying system. The smallest shelf freeze dryer offered, this equipment can be configured with a manual or automated control system and as a bulk or stoppering freeze dryer. Priced with the smallest lab in mind it offers the capabilities of a pilot scale freeze dryer without the cost of one.
And now, there is a technologically advanced version the NEW AdVantage Plus.
The Advantage Plus has all of the features of the standard AdVantage. But now it has up to 3 shelf capability. Those shelves are now fluid cooled to maintain tight temperature control typically found in our pilot/production units. With all of that shelf space, a newly designed condenser coil will hold a total of 6 liters before defrosting.
The BenchTop 2, 4 and 6K freeze dryers offer low cost solutions for labs with small budgets and space constraints. Featuring condenser temperatures of -53°C to -105°C they can handle a wide range of processing requirements.
For those needing larger scale flask drying the FreezeMobile is offered in 25 and 35 liter condenser sizes and a wide variety of condenser temperatures, these floor models can be configured for your exact processing requirements. Their flexibility makes them a great choice for labs with multiple end users.
VirTis General Purpose Freeze Driers are designed for freeze drying food, seeds, plant matter & flowers, animals for taxidermy, water damaged books & documents, and archaeological artifacts. Even items of a size or shape not previously suited to conventional freeze dryer design, can be process-matched to a VirTis General Purpose Freeze Drier. When you need to preserve a product without altering it, there is no replacement for freeze drying. This gentle process removes moisture from an aqueous product, without affecting its biological, chemical or structural properties. The rigid ice matrix holds the solid components in place, the freeze drying process maintains product integrity. Compare this with conventional drying, which typically causes shrinkage or chemical reactions. This damages cells and renders an end product useless for additional chemical analysis, or for final product display.
Hull freeze driers are individually engineered to meet your requirements for production of pharmaceutical and biotech prodcuts. Numerous options are available to allow configuration to fit your application. Built from pharmaceutical grade stainless steel throughout and available with autoloader, Clean in Place (CiP) and/or Steam in Place (SiP) capability with 21 CFR part 11 and IQ/OQ packages for rapid validation.
