The VirTis Genesis, VirTual & Ultra freeze driers are scale up & pilot scale freeze driers. Some pilot scale applications may require the larger Benchmark systems (which for some is production scale). The VirTis pilot scale freeze driers are shelf freeze driers which can accomodate bulk trays or vials and ampoules. The number of shelves and their spacing depends on the desired application. All are designed to meet the needs of pharmaceutical, biotech, and tissue banking industries to develop and process their samples efficiently. Industry standards demand high quality versatile equipment that can process bulk products, vials with unlimited shapes and sizes and large numbers of microtiter plates - this can all be done in the VirTis pilot freeze driers!
