Advances in Sample-prep for Metabolite Profiling



Semi-preparative LC-MS-MS allows the isolation and identification of pharmacologically active compounds and their metabolites. Sample preparation is a key tool in this process. Trials with EZ-2 showed that the optimal balance between speed and minimal compound degradation during the evaporation step, and eliminates interference with mobile phase buffers from the LC solvents. The validity of this procedure was confirmed by subsequent biological activity tests and proton NMR.
