Use of Evaporators in Polymer Deformulation
Polymer additives are resistant solid granules and are difficult to analyse especially during de-formulation. Usually these additives are treated with toluene or another suitable solvent to obtain a suspension or solution before the analysis. During this process the evaporation was formerly done using a rotary evaporator but by using a EZ-2 has enhanced productivity and safe removal of large volumes of toluene in a closed chamber with 98 % recovery.
